I don’t know that there is necessarily a 100% correct order to go in (and if anyone has a better suggestion lmk!) but this is the way i would probably recommend?

honestly i love Ulysses Dies at Dawn because i think its the only story the Mechanisms tell where instead of the ending being just absolutely soul-crushingly sad its kind of like… a melancholy “you know what… good for them”
Ulysses finally, Finally, gets to rest. to Truely rest, to leave behind decades of war and decades of suffering, with no threat of an eternity in the acheron since the vault doors sealed behind them. its not a happy ending or a perfect resolution but in the City i think its probably a kinder & more finite end than most could even dream of achieving.
